A top producing real estate business development executive with a passion for a greener, cleaner society, Stephen Downes has established himself as a prominent figure in Manatee, Sarasota Counites and the Greater Orlando real estate markets. As the owner and managing broker of Ecoluxe Realty, he has an eye on greening up and re-inventing real estate services with a focus on improving our planet through client education, carbon reduction strategies, reduce energy consumption and fostering a culture of conservation and service.

As the managing broker, Stephen is also a Professional Engineer with a degree from the University of Florida in Environmental Engineering and a minor in ecological engineering so he is perfectly position to understand the technical aspects of our built environment and how best to integrate into the surrounding ecosystem. Through his passion for establishing trusting relationships, high level of professionalism, strong communication, and excellent negotiating skills he successfully navigates clients through their real estate venture. Having gained his Broker License in 2021 and establishing the brokerage in 2022, he is looking to a brighter and greener future by continuing to help clients and fellow agents through Eco Luxe Realty.

Stephen Downes has been a Lakewood Ranch resident since 2013. He graduated from University of Florida with a degree in Environmental Engineering, an area in which he worked for the next 13 years for several Fortune 500 companies. After extensive work in the business development and customer relationship management in multi-million dollar complex engineering projects, Stephen's connected his passion real estate, sustainability and connecting new and existing clients from their dreams of buying or selling to the closing table in 2016 and has sold over $100M between him and his team.

Stephen is an active member in the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee Counties as well as the Orlando Regional Realtor Association. Stephen also has obtained is green certifications in the field of: Certified Energy Manager from the Association of Energy Engineers and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional through the United States Green Building Council. 

Born into a Military family with Panamanian roots, Stephen has resided in many states and countries but ultimately calls Florida Home, spending most of his life in Miami/Orlando/Tampa and now Sarasota.

A dedicated father of 3 girls (yes three girls). In his spare time, he loves to work out, travel, and spend time with his family!
